Lil Boosie

Zooming out of the gates is hip-hop latest star, Lil Boosie. He definitely has five elements that every rapper needs: an unforgettable voice, a bad attitude, an infectious love of trash talk, a popular-hometown reputation and a hot record deal.

Biography

Lil Boosie was born Torrence Hatch in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on November 14, 1983. He was given the nickname "Boosie" by his family and was raised on W. Garfield St. on the south side of Baton Rouge. He is clearly recognized in the rap industry by his high pitched voice.

When he was 14 years old, Lil Boosie moved in with his grandmother after his father was killed. The talented Lil Boosie soon picked up freestyling and began to get serious about his musical career. He teamed up with Baton Rouge rapper C-Loc and made his debut on C-Loc's 5th album, "It's a Gamble", which also featured Three Six Mafia, South Park Mexican, and the rest of the Concentration Camp. Lil Boosie then released his own debut CD, "Youngest of the Camp", which spread like wildfire through every neighborhood in Baton Rouge and its surrounding communities.

Lil Boosie' luck turned for the best when he was given the opportunity to join the record label called Trill Entertainment aka Trill Ent which was backed by Pimp-C of UGK. Soon afterwords, Boosie and Trill released the CD "For my Thugs" which went and sold over 15,000 copies.

Three more current hot rappers who share the same prefix "lil" are Lil Wayne, Lil Jon and Lil Scrappy.

In 2004, Lil Boosie teamed up with Webbie and released the album, "Gangsta Musik" which is what really sparked his popularity. This CD featured the ever popular songs "Swerve" and "Give Me That".

Latest Deal

Because of Boosie's talent and growing fan base, he signed a deal with Universal Records and released the CD "Bad Azz". This album features songs such as "Zoom", Dats What They Like" and "Smokin On Purple".

He continues to gain popularity at an astonishing rate, and shows no sign of stopping. Watch out world...here comes Da Man....
